Starbucks Coffee

Upon entering the small Starbuck cafe, the strong scent of caffeine filled my nostrils, turning the corners of my lips slightly upwards. My second interview. I almost trembled with excitement. In each corner of the store, sat pairs or groups of people totally consumed by their own conversations, letting their boiling hot coffees go terribly cold. I didn't like coffee, but its scent was irresistible, so I was glad that this was where I was meeting Mr.Patry. Based on my research, he was a co-founder of Rollin' and Bowlin' fresh foods as well as the founder of Voila Valet. I was bursting with excitement, so I arrived almost 30 mins earlier than my actual interview time. However, Mr.Patry was already there talking to a venture capitalist. I seated myself in a window seat and patiently waited for him, flipping through my index cards. Soon after, he sat in front of me.

Something that surprised me was that he looked just as excited and happy to be there as I was which made me extremely intrigued. I think the interview went really well because I was able to learn a lot about Mr.Patry's personal experiences and connect them to my own life giving me a very real insight into the life of an entrepreneur. I was also grateful for the information and advice he shared with me, and I plan to keep it in mind forever. I had the opportunity to ask and answer a lot of questions which made the interview seem more like a comfortable conversation rather than a rigid trivia session. I think Mr.Patry was very relatable and down-to-earth which made him very likable, so I was able to ask questions that I was afraid to ask in the past because I thought it was general knowledge. I am really glad that I was able to have this opportunity, and I can't wait to meet more entrepreneurs in the future.
