New Learnings

Last week was extremely interesting. I was able to complete and keep up with tasks given to me by my mentor as well as explore on my own.

My mentor meeting was the most interesting part of my week.

I was able to learn a lot of new things regarding starting a brand new business during the meeting. Something I found extremely interesting was learning more about the first steps. Mr. Patry told me about researching business development. We also discussed how we were going to market the business, and Mr.Patry suggested that we should set up booths at our school and share our ideas. He emphasized the importance of planning. We also thought about organizing an opening event where we have snacks and drinks as well as sample products people could place orders for. I thought this was a great idea, and it would definitely bring about more customers. Additionally, he also suggested uploading our idea to crowdfunding websites such as Indigogo. That way we can not only market our idea but also receive funding.

I am extremely thankful for the opportunities given to me by ISM, and it has been a great and eye-opening process to create my own business.
