Deep-diving into networking

This past week was jam-packed with loads of learning, interacting, and trying. The biggest challenge was reaching out to professionals because I was stressed about whether I would be able to get in touch. However, fortunately, all three of my contacted professionals reached back almost immediately which I am very grateful for since they are making time for a high school student interested in what they do daily. Hence, I am extremely excited to set up research interviews with each of them and to start exploring. With respect to my interviews and networking, I am going to continue reaching out to more entrepreneurs in the Dallas area in order to learn more. Additionally, I am also going to plan for future interviews by preparing thought-provoking questions that will help me understand more about the life of an entrepreneur.

In addition to developing my networking skills, I also completed my fourth research assignment. Now that I have completed 3 of them, I had a much easier time doing this one and was able to analyze the article I chose easily. I wanted to learn more about Social Entrepreneurship, so I studied the key parts of the field and the possible challenges of developing a business that places a greater focus on social value rather than profit value. I found it extremely interesting, and I would like to further deep-dive into the strategies used by social entrepreneurs to make their companies successful without the benefits achieved by a commercial business.

I am so glad to have had the opportunity to connect with many professionals this week, and I am excited to see what will happen next with my ISM journey. Next week, I plan to propose an idea for my Original Project, and I look forward to starting it.
